Medical Disclaimer

Last updated: May 14, 2026

READ THIS DISCLAIMER BEFORE USE. BY PURCHASING OR USING ANY NAILSCIENCE PRODUCT, YOU REPRESENT THAT YOU HAVE READ AND UNDERSTOOD THIS DISCLAIMER AND THAT YOU EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL RISK OF USE.

NailScience is a topical cosmetic/OTC nail-care product. It is not a prescription drug or medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, injury, or medical condition. Statements made by NailScience, on the Site, in product packaging, or in advertising have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new nail-care, foot-care, or topical regimen, particularly if you have a diagnosed nail or skin condition.

1. No medical advice; not a substitute for medical care

The content on trynailscience.com — including but not limited to product descriptions, advertising, blog posts, prelander articles, illustrations, customer reviews, testimonials, customer-service correspondence, and any other content of any kind — is provided for general informational and cosmetic-care purposes only. None of it is medical advice. It is not a substitute for the diagnosis, treatment, or recommendation of a qualified healthcare provider, podiatrist, or dermatologist familiar with your medical history. Do not disregard, delay, or modify medical care or advice because of anything you read on the Site or in any NailScience material. If you think you are having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.

2. FDA status; no medical claim

NailScience products have not been evaluated, cleared, or approved by the US Food and Drug Administration. No statement or claim made by NailScience, the Site, advertising materials, customer-service personnel, or any third party is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, or prevent any disease, injury, or medical condition, including without limitation onychomycosis, paronychia, psoriasis, eczema, fungal or bacterial infection, or any disorder of the nail bed or surrounding skin. NailScience is offered as a general cosmetic and self-care product. Any use of the product for any other purpose is at your sole risk.

3. Results not typical; testimonials

Testimonials, reviews, before-and-after stories, customer quotes, and other endorsements on the Site or in advertising reflect individual experiences and are not representative of typical results. Many factors outside NailScience's control influence results, including age, lifestyle, underlying nail or skin condition, adherence to the recommended protocol, concurrent care, footwear, occupation, and natural variation. NailScience makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee, express or implied, that you will experience any specific result, benefit, or outcome. Any depiction of mechanism, anatomy, or before/after appearance is a simplified educational illustration, not a diagnostic image or a claim of effect in any specific user.

4. Who should NOT use NailScience

Do not use NailScience if any of the following applies to you. This list is illustrative and is not exhaustive. You are solely responsible for determining whether use of the product is safe for you.

  • You are allergic or sensitive to undecylenic acid, any other active or inactive ingredient in the formulation, or any preservative, fragrance, or solvent listed on the product packaging. Patch-test on a small area of skin 24 hours before broader use.
  • You have open wounds, cuts, abrasions, cracked skin, oozing lesions, blisters, burns, or active infection in or adjacent to the area of intended use.
  • You have severe nail or skin infection, cellulitis, abscess, or any condition requiring medical care — consult a physician or podiatrist before using any over-the-counter topical.
  • You are pregnant, believe you may be pregnant, or are nursing — consult a healthcare provider first.
  • You are under 18 years of age, or you are applying the product to a child under 12 years of age.
  • You have diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, peripheral neuropathy, immunocompromised status, or any condition that affects healing or circulation in the hands or feet. Consult your podiatrist or physician for clearance before using any topical near a diabetic foot or compromised nail bed.
  • You have eczema, psoriasis, contact dermatitis, or any inflammatory skin condition flaring in the area of intended use.
  • You are concurrently using prescription topical antifungals, corticosteroids, retinoids, hydroquinone, or any other prescribed topical in the area of intended use, unless your treating clinician has expressly cleared concurrent use.
  • You intend to use the product anywhere other than the nail and surrounding skin — for example on eyes, mouth, lips, ears, nostrils, mucous membranes, genitals, broken skin, or large body areas. NailScience is for external use on nails only.
  • Any product container is damaged, leaking, has broken seals, or has a different appearance, odor, or consistency than expected.

If you have any chronic medical condition, are taking any medication, or have any doubt about whether use of NailScience is safe for you, do not use the product. Consult your physician, podiatrist, or dermatologist first.

5. Safe-use requirements

You must, as a condition of using NailScience:

  • Read the complete product packaging and any printed instructions before first use.
  • Patch-test on a small area of skin 24 hours before broader use, and discontinue if any redness, itching, burning, swelling, or rash develops.
  • Use the product only as directed, at the recommended frequency and duration, on intact nails and surrounding skin only.
  • Stop using the product immediately if you experience burning, pain, swelling, blistering, persistent redness, peeling, or any unexpected reaction, and consult a healthcare provider.
  • Keep the product away from the eyes, mouth, nostrils, ears, and mucous membranes. If contact occurs, flush with water and seek medical attention if irritation persists.
  • Keep the product out of reach of children and pets. In case of accidental ingestion, contact a poison control center (in the US: 1-800-222-1222) or seek emergency medical attention.
  • Do not modify, dilute, decant, or combine the product with other topical products without express clearance from your healthcare provider.
  • Discontinue use if any contraindication arises or is later diagnosed.

6. Assumption of risk

BY PURCHASING OR USING ANY NAILSCIENCE PRODUCT, YOU EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL RISK ASSOCIATED WITH ITS USE OR MISUSE, including but not limited to risks of allergic reaction, contact dermatitis, chemical burn, skin irritation, peeling, nail discoloration or weakening, aggravation of existing conditions, new injury, and any other risk, whether or not foreseeable. 7. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NailScience, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers, licensors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, proceedings, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, fines, penalties, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use, misuse, or inability to use any NailScience product; (b) your failure to comply with this Medical Disclaimer or the instructions on the product packaging; (c) the use of the product by any person for whom it is contraindicated; (d) any condition you have or develop, regardless of causation; or (e) any injury, harm, or loss to any third party in connection with your use of the product. See also the Terms of Service, Section 13.

8. No warranty of safety, efficacy, or fitness

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NailScience disclaims all warranties, express or implied, regarding the safety, efficacy, fitness for any particular purpose, or therapeutic effect of any NailScience product. The remedies available to you are described solely in the Refund & Returns Policy. No employee, contractor, or agent of NailScience has authority to make any additional representation or warranty, oral or written, regarding the medical, therapeutic, dermatological, or cosmetic effects of the product.

9. Adverse-event reporting

If you experience any adverse event — including but not limited to allergic reaction, chemical burn, persistent skin irritation, contact dermatitis, severe redness, swelling, blistering, infection, or any other unexpected condition — in connection with your use of NailScience:

  1. Stop using the product immediately.
  2. Wash the area with mild soap and water, and seek medical attention as needed.
  3. Report the event to safety@trynailscience.com with your order number, the lot/batch number from the product packaging (if available), a description of the event, and any photographs or medical documentation you wish to provide.

Submitting an adverse-event report does not give rise to any settlement, payment, admission of liability, or assumption of responsibility by NailScience. We may use information in adverse-event reports for product-safety review, regulatory compliance, and any other lawful purpose.

10. International users

NailScience products are intended for sale and use in the United States. Regulatory classification of cosmetic and OTC topical products varies by country. Use of the product outside the United States is at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for compliance with the laws, regulations, and customs of your jurisdiction. NailScience disclaims any obligation to comply with non-US cosmetic, OTC drug, consumer-product, or import regulations.

This Medical Disclaimer is governed by, and any dispute relating to it is subject to, the choice-of-law, arbitration, class-action-waiver, jury-trial-waiver, and one-year-limitation provisions of our Terms of Service, which are incorporated here by reference.

12. Changes

We may modify this Medical Disclaimer at any time, in our sole discretion, with or without prior notice. The Disclaimer in effect at the time of your use governs your use.
