Accessibility Statement
NailScience strives to make trynailscience.com reasonably usable for visitors with disabilities and to follow the principles of WCAG 2.1 Level AA where reasonably practicable. This statement is aspirational. NailScience makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee of accessibility, and disclaims all express and implied warranties relating to accessibility to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
1. Aspiration
We strive to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, where reasonably practicable for content under our direct control. We do not commit to conform to any specific guideline, standard, statute, or regulation. We do not commit to any specific implementation timeline, audit schedule, certification, or testing program.
2. What we work toward
For content under our direct control, our team works toward:
- Use of semantic HTML, headings, lists, and landmark regions.
- Text alternatives for informative images, where reasonably practicable.
- Keyboard reachability of primary interactive elements.
- Adequate color contrast for body text under typical conditions.
- Programmatic labels on form fields where applicable.
- Reasonable behavior with major screen readers including VoiceOver and NVDA.
- Layouts that adapt to text resize and to operating-system "reduce motion" settings.
The above is not a commitment, representation, warranty, or guarantee that any specific page, feature, or interaction conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA or any other standard at any specific time.
3. Third-party content disclaimed
This Statement does not apply to, and NailScience disclaims any responsibility for, content, embeds, widgets, scripts, or services provided by third parties, including without limitation: payment processors and checkout iframes; live-chat widgets; video and image hosting services; review and ratings platforms; advertising and analytics scripts; social-media embeds; carriers' tracking pages; and any content reachable by an outbound link. Accessibility of third-party content is the responsibility of the relevant third party.
4. Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on the Site does not currently meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations include, without limitation: third-party embeds described above; some legacy product photography that uses generic alt text; some animated graphics that are not described in text equivalents; and PDF documents that may not be tagged for screen readers. We work toward improvements over time but make no commitment to remediate any specific issue.
5. Report an issue; alternative accommodations
If you have difficulty accessing content on the Site, you may contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or transaction you sought through an alternative accessible means. Whether a request is reasonable is in our sole discretion, including without limitation having regard to cost, technical feasibility, and our normal business operations.
6. No private right of action created
This Statement is informational and is not intended to, and does not, create any contractual obligation, warranty, or private right of action. It does not waive, modify, or expand any right or remedy available under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, or any other federal, state, local, or foreign law. Nothing in this Statement is a representation or warranty that the Site is, or will be, accessible to any specific person or under any specific configuration.
7. Changes
We may modify this Statement at any time, in our sole discretion, with or without prior notice. The Statement in effect at any time governs your access at that time.
